38 circle quilt take two.

2.10.2011

I finally finished my second take on the circle quilt.  This one is a little more vibrant and fun than the first one.
I used a Claire Bella flannel as the backing to make it extra snuggly.
I quilted along each of the seams to make a grid pattern and also around each of the circles.  They kind of pop out off the rest of the quilt.
It's bound in Kona Ash (no surprise there).
Of course I had to add a little Bijou Lovely tag to the back for good measure.
I couldn't resist the polka dots when wrapping this one up!
I hope mommy and baby both love their circle quilt!

    You do such a great job! I recently found out my brother and his wife are expecting, so I'm hoping to get enough courage to make them a quilt! Going to try to make some pillows this weekend or next weekend and go from there! Are you still thinking of doing a tutorial?

    Love it! I love the flannel on the back, that's my idea of a quilt that can actually be used rather than just draped over a sofa.

    I'm super impressed with your labels and stickers with your name- are you still handmaking each label?

    AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! What talent! What inspiration! I'm dying, just dying over this quilt! So much that I made my husband come look at it...he just looked at me like I was crazy...but, what does he really know about quilts anyway :)

    Cute! I haven't made a circle quilt in a while, but I might have to make another one soon! (I like having my tutorial to refer to-it makes it easy to do another one!!) I like your grid quilting.

    SLC - The fabrics used in this quilt were definitely a mix of different designers! Mostly from fabric.com I think, but you could find them at any modern quilting shop!
