I picked up this awesome tufted wingback chair at a local consignment shop a few weeks ago, and I absolutely love it. It's upholstered in a navy/almost teal blue velvet (it is a bit darker than it looks in these pictures) and is in really great shape.
It's even got brass nailhead trim on the arms for a little sparkle.
The legs are in perfect shape as well.
We are starting the process of painting our front living room (the top color in the swatch below...although it is hard to take accurate pictures of paint swatches), and this chair is going to look awesome in the finished space!
I know I am behind in sharing before and after pictures of our house. I am slowly making progress with decorating each room. I realize they are never going to feel completely "finished", so I promise to start sharing more pictures with you!
Oh wow, gorgeous find! I love wingbacks! I have one that I picked up off the side of the road a long while back, it needs reupholstered but I love it! :)
ReplyDeleteLove! I used to have a long, low-back couch in a navy blue corduroy that I just loved. Your new chair is awesome, and I love the color you chose for your living room walls.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! I'm so excited, because my nursery is painted in thermal spring! I absolutely adore that color. I'm painting the closet winter surf, for a subtle difference. It's such a beautiful balance of blue and green, in a soothing way. I think the chair will look fabulous in there!
ReplyDeletethat is gorgeous! what a good find. it's like the classier version of my blue velvet chair:

Love your blog! Came across it this morning and spent a while looking around :) I'm still getting my new sewing/recipe's/life blog started so it's a bit in shambles but I'll definitely be back to see what you've been up to. That chair is awesome!
