9 english paper piecing.

6.11.2012

Did you all have a nice weekend?  I had a great time catching up with one of my closest friends, golfing with my husband, and sitting in the sun.  I kept my hands busy yesterday basting some jewel shapes by the pool!  These will become a pillow for my partner in the Pillow Talk Swap.
This is just the start of it, I'll be adding several more colors and a few diamonds and triangles in there as well to fill in the gaps.
I'm having a lot of fun with this project so far!  Hopefully I'll feel the same once I start sewing them together.  Something tells me I'll be spending a lot more time outside in the sun working on this for the next few weeks.
Rachel has a good tutorial on English Paper Piecing at Stitched in Color if you're interested in learning more!
