It amazes me how good this quilt looks no matter what fabrics are used. There is a very eclectic mix of fabrics going on here and it still looks good to me!
You can find the tutorial for these blocks here. They are really fun to make!
I made progress on a couple more quilts last night too, finally stitching on the binding of my Cosmos Butterflies quilt, and making a pieced backing for my lone starburst quilt. Some hand stitching and basting might happen tonight!
I'm kind of tempted to start another + and x quilt for myself now. Maybe with some of my Field Study stash? I'll try to resist a little longer!
i know what you mean about those x&+ blocks. i already made one for do. good stitches and i still want to make another! i am trying hard to resist... trying. and i love your one starburst! those colors with the white are perfection.
ReplyDeletedefinitely looks so good! Beautiful quilt and designs! Good luck!
ReplyDeleteI love that Starburst and the colors you used for it! Your do. Good quilt turned out fantastic, too, WOW!!
ReplyDeleteThis is just so awesome. I really want to make a scrappy x&+ quilt now!
ReplyDeleteI'm in love with this quilt too. I have enough blocks at this point for a lap quilt, which was my intention, but I've enjoyed making the blocks so much, and literally adding fabric from just about every project I'm working on, that I want to make it bigger. We'll see when I stop-it feels like second nature to cut 3.5 " and 2" squares from whatever I'm doing!
ReplyDeleteI've just started an x and + out of comma. Love your quilt. It is so cheery ; )
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, colourful quilt! I have lots of Field Study here on my shelves....might have to delve in to it!
ReplyDeletethe + and x quilt looks stunning! Now I definitely want to try the pattern some time! Your other works in progress also look great, I'm looking forward to seeing the finished butterfly quilt! I really loved the in progress shots of that one!
ReplyDeleteYour projects look fabulous. Thanks for the inspiration & great links!
ReplyDeleteThose fabrics do look great together. I love how bright and colorful it is (without looking too busy)!
