It's Friday again!  It snuck up on me this week.  Did everyone have a fun Halloween?  It was raining pretty hard here, the poor kids were soaking wet when they came to the door last night.  They all really enjoyed seeing Jackson in his little devil costume though, and he didn't seem to mind wearing it!

197 Sun Print Quilt.

Hi friends!  Today is my stop on the Alison Glass Blog Tour!  I'm sure you've all seen her most recent fabric lines by now, Sun Print and Clover Sunshine.  They are both amazing, the colors make me so happy!  I was lucky enough to meet Alison during QuiltCon and she's a pretty amazing lady too.

I finished up this quilt top just in time, using the Corsage and X and + prints from her Sun Print line.

The blocks are all paper pieced, which makes for super crisp points on the triangles.  I used the white-on-white prints from Sun Print for the triangles to really make them pop.

I alternated the blocks in different directions, and I love the movement it gives to the quilt.

7 Sewing with Sun Print.

I've been doing some sewing the past few days, making a new quilt that I'll share here next week!  I'm working with a few prints from one of Alison Glass' latest collections, Sun Print (available at Pink Castle Fabrics, Stash Fabrics, and Quilt Sandwich).  The colors just make me happy, so I thought I'd share some tidbits with you!

Pretty, right?  Lots of paper piecing happening over here!  And smiling too, because it feels good to be sewing :)

11 color swatches.

I had lots of questions last week on the backing print I used for my Confetti Quilt, so I wanted to share a little more about it today.  It's a new print coming soon from Dear Stella, called Color Swatches.  It was made to coordinate with their Confetti Dots, and it's awesome!

Doesn't it make the most perfect backing?  I just love all those scribbly dots.

I think it would make really cute curtains for a sewing room or little girl's room too!

Color Swatches (Stella 253-Multi) should be arriving in stores at the end of September/early October!
